ACACと、スコットランドのオークニー諸島を拠点とするPier Arts Centre（PAC）が協働して実施するアーティスト・イン・レジデンスのエクスチェンジプログラムは、今年度で2回目を迎えました。本事業では、ACACおよびPACがそれぞれアーティストを選出し、アーティストを派遣し合います。慎重な協議の結果、今年度はACACより土井 波音をオークニーへ、Pier Arts Centreからはバリントン上之山・恵（Megumi Barrington Uenoyama）を青森へ派遣することとなりました。土井は2026年10月、バリントンは2026年秋から冬にかけて派遣先に滞在します。アーティストについての詳細や滞在中の活動の様子は、追ってACACのウェブサイトやSNSでお知らせいたします。

The Artist-in-Residence Exchange Program jointly organized by ACAC and the Pier Arts Centre (PAC), based in the Orkney Islands, Scotland, is now entering its second year. As part of the program, ACAC and PAC each select an artist and send them to the other institution’s location for a residency.

Following careful discussions, this year ACAC has selected Namine Doi to travel to Orkney, while the Pier Arts Centre has selected Megumi Barrington Uenoyama to travel to Aomori. Doi will be in residence in Orkney in September 2026, while Barrington Uenoyama will be in residence in Aomori from autumn through winter 2026.

Further details about the artists and updates on their activities during their residencies will be shared on the ACAC website and social media in due course.
