Assistant Professor, Faculty of Kansei-Design, Hachinohe Institute of Technology. Born in Hunan Province, PRC, in 1993, Dai moved to Japan in 2015 after graduating from the Film and Television Advertisement course of Beijing Film Academy. As a student in the Graduate School of Film and New Media of Tokyo University of the Arts, he directed and edited films that were nominated at film festivals both in Japan and abroad. After working as an intern in the Moving Image Department of the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum, and then as an assistant at the 12th Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions, he joined the Keisuke Kinoshita Memorial Museum and the Kamoe Art Center Hamamatsu in 2020. His responsibilities included planning screening programmes and film archive exhibitions, as well as leading film-related workshops. While working, he studied Art Management and Cultural Policy in the Graduate School of Cultural Policy and Management at Shizuoka University of Art and Culture. He has held his current position since 2025. He specialises in film creation, art management, and moving image archival.
