Born in 1986 in Hiroshima’s Kure City, Koretsune took inspiration from the hunting and folkcraft of Alaskan natives for her earlier works. Her recent project centers around the research on whale hunting, fishing, and maritime folk culture, for which she utilizes fieldwork and interviews to create print-work like zine s, embroidery, and sculpture.
