Rakhi PESWA

1977年インド、ニューデリー生まれ。マハラジャ・サヤジラオ大学大学院(バローダ、インド)修了。クラフトに関連する素材や過程を用いて、テクノロジーと身体との相互作用を表す。近代以前のクラフトとテクノロジーにおける継続と決裂の理解を必要とする現代社会に焦点をあてる。

Born in 1977 in New Delhi. Graduated from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (MFA). Art practice of Peswani ranges in materials and process explorations to understand the connection between techniques, technologies and their co-relation with human body. She has been exploring various processes that have been associated with crafts. Her practice addresses the contemporary need to understand continuities and ruptures in premodern crafts and technologies.
