Born in 1919 in Aomori City, Suzuki served in the army, fighting in the front line in China during World War II. This experience prompted him to become a painter after he returned from the war. Throughout his artistic career, Suzuki completed many paintings and sculptures that reflected his hope for peace, as well as his humorous personality. Suzuki passed away in 2008.
