Adi Sundoro (Asun), an artist from Jakarta, Indonesia, who is participating in the Artist in Residence Program 2025 “CAMP,” has been exploring the relationship between privacy awareness and the public space. His practice was inspired by an experience in which a local snack called “gorengan” he purchased was wrapped in discarded printed material containing someone’s personal information.

During his stay in Japan, Asun is focusing his research on how official and confidential documents are managed and disposed of.
At ACAC, through printmaking using various kinds of paper, he seeks to examine how personal information is handled in Indonesia and Japan, as well as the social and cultural differences behind these practices.

This time, we are looking for participants to help create the paper components that will form part of his artwork.
The process is very simple—folding and gluing paper sheets designed by Asun—so anyone can join, regardless of experience.
