アーティスト・イン・レジデンス プログラム2021 “invisible connections” リモート・レジデンスプログラムに参加している、アーティスト、カロル・ダッタの新作シリーズ《VOLUME 3 ISSUE 2》を展示する個展を開催します。

会場：国際芸術センター青森 [ACAC] 展示棟ギャラリーA 奥

今回のリモート・レジデンスプログラムでダッタは、2018年から各地の衣類の調査を基に制作している作品やZINEのシリーズの青森版を制作する。文献や写真、商業広告など様々な視覚情報から衣類に関するものを収集し、コラージュして小冊子を制作する。

In the Artist-in-Residence Program 2021 “invisible connections”, a solo exhibition will be held featuring the new series “VOLUME 3 ISSUE 2” by artist Kallol Datta, who is participating in the Remote Residence Program.

Kallol DATTA Solo exhibition “Distortions in Translation, Volume 3 Issue 2”
Date: Dec. 1 (Wed) to Dec. 5 (Sun) , 10:00-18:00 (JST) *Admission free
Venue: inner part of the Gallery A, Exhibition Hall, Aomori Contemporary Art Centre

In this remote residency program, Datta will create an Aomori version of a series of works and zines that he has been producing since 2018 based on the research of clothing in various locations. He will collect items related to clothing from a variety of visual sources, including literature, photographs, and commercial advertisements, and collage them to create a zine.
