本展覧会参加作家のジュマナ・エミル・アブード（パレスチナ出身）と、ACACによる共同企画として上映会を開催します。「土地の日（Land Day）」は1983年に日本の労働映画社によって制作されました。この映画は元々、1977年の「土地の日」一周年記念の頃に撮影され、占領下パレスチナの下部ガリラヤ地域にあるパレスチナ人の市や村で起こっている様々な出来事を記録したものです。この記念行事は、1976年継続的な土地収奪に対するパレスチナ人の抗議デモで何が起こったか、目撃証言を集めるために使われています。またその他のインタビューでは、市長や地方議会議長が、土地の日のコンテキストと歴史について伝えています。なお本映画は日本語音声で見ることができ、英語字幕がついています。
　上映後、ジュマナ・エミル・アブードによる参加者とのQ & Aセッションを行う予定です（逐次通訳付き）。参加費は無料ですが、ぜひMAP（パレスチナ人に対する医療支援）やUN Crisis Relief (ガザの人々への支援)への募金をお願いします。

    Subversive Film

    Subversive Filmは、パレスチナとその地域に関連する歴史的作品に新たな光を当て、映画保存への支援を呼びかけ、アーカイブの実践を調査することを目的とする映画研究・制作集団である。彼らの長期的かつ継続的なプロジェクトは、これまで見過ごされてきた映画のデジタル復刻、希少な映画上映サイクルのキュレーション、再発見された映画の字幕制作、出版物の制作、その他の介入方法の考案など、この映画史的分野を探求している。2011年に結成されたSubversive Filmは、ラマラとその他の場所を拠点に活動している。

A joint screening event by ACAC and Jumana Emil ABBOUD (from Palestine), an artist participating in this exhibition in cooperation with artist-collective Subversive Film. The “Land Day” was originally produced in 1983 by the Japanese Labor Film Company. The original film was shot around the first anniversary of Land Day in 1977 and documented various events taking place in Palestinian cities and villages in the Lower Galilee region of occupied Palestine. The commemorations are used to gather eyewitness accounts of what happened during the Palestinian protests against the ongoing land grabs in 1976. In other interviews, mayors and local council chairmen provide the context and history of Land Day. The film is available in Japanese audio with English subtitles.
　The screening will be followed by a Q & A session with participants by Jumana Emil Abboud (with consecutive interpretation). There is no charge for participation, but donations to MAP (Medical Aid for Palestinians) and to UN Crisis Relif (Help the people of Gaza) will be encouraged.

    The work of Palestinian-Canadian artist ABBOUD bridges various mediums, and is inspired by water, folklore, and storytelling to express themes of longing and forced erasure of cultural heritage across the world. She is currently based between Jerusalem and London.

  • Subversive Film

    Subversive Film is a cinema research and production collective that aims to cast new light upon historic works related to Palestine and the region, to engender support for film preservation, and to investigate archival practices. Their long-term and ongoing projects explore this cine-historic field including digitally reissuing previously overlooked films, curating rare film screening cycles, subtitling rediscovered films, producing publications, and devising other forms of interventions. Formed in 2011, Subversive Film is based between Ramallah and elsewhere.
