近代を彫刻／超克するー雪国青森編

国際芸術センター青森（ACAC）は、2021年12月に開館20周年を迎えます。ACACでは開館以来、数々の野外彫刻が制作・設置され、館の個性の一部となってきました。また、青森市街地にも平和や慰霊のモニュメントはじめ、公共空間の一部となり様々な物事を記念する多数の碑や彫刻が存在します。
ACACでは2021年度に、色々な角度から野外彫刻を考えるプロジェクトを実施予定です。今回はその準備講座として、青森市内に点在する歴史にアプローチしている郷土史家、野外彫刻の設置にも立ち会ってきたアーティスト、作品制作や執筆・出版活動を通して彫刻の議論を展開している彫刻家・研究者の3人にお話しを伺い、街の風景の一部となっている所与の彫刻について考えをめぐらせる機会を持ちたいと思います。

小田原のどかODAWARA Nodokamore
1985年宮城県生まれ、東京都在住。彫刻家、評論家、出版社代表。芸術学博士（筑波大学）。主な展覧会に「あいちトリエンナーレ2019」、「PUBLIC DEVICE -彫刻の象徴性と恒久性-」（共同キュレーター、東京藝術大学大学美術館 陳列館、2020年）。主な著書に『近代を彫刻／超克する』（講談社、2021年）。経営する版元から『原爆後の75年：長崎の記憶と記録をたどる』（長崎原爆の戦後史をのこす会編、書肆九十九、2021年）を刊行。「東京新聞」「芸術新潮」「美術手帖（ウェブ）」にて評論を連載中。

ODAWARA Nodokamore
Born in Miyagi, 1985. Lives in Tokyo.
Sculptor, critic, head of publishing company, Shoshi tuskumo. Doctor of Arts (Tsukuba University). Selected exhibitions include the Aichi Triennale 2019, PUBLIC DEVICE: Symbolism and Permanence of Sculpture (co-curator, Chinretsukan Gallery at the Tokyo University of the Arts, 2020). Selected publications include Overcoming/Sculpting Modernity (Kodansha, 2021). Published 75 years after the Atomic Bombing: Tracing the Memory and Archive of Nagasaki (edited by the Association of Preserving the Nagasaki Postwar History After the Atomic Bombing, Shoshi tsukumo, 2021) through the publishing company she heads. Writes a regular criticism column for Tokyo Shimbun, Geijutsu Shincho, and Bijutsu Techo (web).
