三浦英樹
MIURA Hideki

1965年北海道生まれ。東京都立大学大学院博士課程地理学専攻単位取得退学。博士(理学)。現在は青森公立大学教授。専門は地理学、地形地質学、第四紀学。これまで北海道、南極、北極、ヒマラヤなどで調査を行ってきた。近年は主に北東北を対象に、地球規模の広がりと地質学的な長い時間軸のなかで、地域の自然環境がどのように形成され、それが人々の暮らしとどのように関わってきたのかを研究している。

Born in Hokkaido in 1965. Miura completed the required doctoral coursework in Geography at Tokyo Metropolitan University and holds a Ph.D. in Science. He is currently a professor at Aomori Public University. His research fields include geology, and Quaternary science. He has conducted field research in Hokkaido, Antarctica, the Arctic, and the Himalayas. In recent years, his work has focused mainly on the northern Tohoku region of Japan, where he examines the formation and development of local natural environments and their connections to people’s lives across global spatial scales and over long geological time
scales.
