アーティスト・イン・レジデンスプログラム2024 “SPINNING SCAPES”の参加アーティストである浅野友理子とマギー・チュウのオープンスタジオを開催します。普段はあまり見ることないアーティストの制作現場を見ることができる貴重な機会です。ぜひみなさんご参加ください。

マギー・チュウMaggie CHUmore
1975年香港生まれ。ニュー・サウス・ウェールズ大学で学士号を取得し香港で建築家として活動。その後2021年にRMIT美術学校で美術学士号を取得。
ドローイングやコラージュ、彫刻などさまざまな手法を組み合わせ、場所に基づくアイデンティティを多角的に探究している。素材は多岐にわたり、ファウンドイメージ、テキスト、収集した工芸品などがある。チュウの作品は想像力とアーカイブとして現れる事実が混在しており、街並みというマクロなレンズから深遠な個人的体験まで、スケールの知覚を探求し、場所の内と間に横たわる歴史の語りを探求している。 -
浅野 友理子ASANO Yurikomore
1990年宮城県生まれ。2015年東北芸術工科大学大学院芸術文化専攻洋画研究領域修了。食文化や植物の利用を切り口に様々な土地を訪ね歩き、出会った人々とのエピソードを交えながら記録するように描く。主な個展に、｢種の温床」（SNOW Contemporary、2023年）、「つづり思考」(風の沢ミュージアム、2023年) 、グループ展に、「土とともに美術にみる〈農〉の世界―ミレー、ゴッホ、浅井忠から現代のアーティストまで―」(茨城県立近代美術館、2023年)、「みちのおくの芸術祭 山形ビエンナーレ2022」(2022)、「青森EARTH2019 いのち耕す場所 農業がひらくアートの未来」（青森県立美術館、2019）など。「VOCA展2020 現代美術の展望ー新しい平面の作家たち」大原美術館賞受賞。

Maggie CHUmore
Born in Hong Kong, 1975. Maggie CHU graduated BArch at University of New South Wales and practiced as Architect in Hong Kong before she completed BA Fine Arts at RMIT / School of Art in 2021.
Her art practice explores the multifaceted aspects of place identities with combination of various methods including drawing, collage, and sculptures. Her source materials range from found images, texts and collected artefacts. Her artworks intermingle imagination and facts represented in the form of archive. She explores the perception of scale, from the macro lens of the cityscape to the profound personal experiences, excavating narratives of history lying within and between places. -
ASANO Yurikomore
Born in Miyagi in 1990. Completed her master’s degree in oil painting, Tohoku University of Art & Design in 2015. With her interests in food culture and uses of plants, ASANO Yuriko visits various places in Japan and overseas and paints as if recording episodes with the people she encounters.
Major solo exhibitions include ‘Tane no Onshou’ (SNOW Contemporary, 2023) and ‘Tsuzuri Shikou’ (KazenoSawa Museum, 2023), and group exhibitions include ‘Agriculture in Art’ (The Museum of Modern Art, Ibaraki, 2023), ‘Michino Okuno Art Festival: Yamagata Biennale 2022’ (2022), ‘AOMORI EARTH2019: AGROTOPIA –WHEN LIFE BECOMES ART THROUGH LOCAL AGRICULTURE’ (Aomori Museum of Art, 2019), etc. ‘VOCA Exhibition 2020’ Ohara Museum of Art Prize.
