Born 1985 in Tokyo, raised in Hokkaido. Completed a master’s degree in the Intermedia Art Course, Tokyo University of the Arts. After leaving the doctoral course of the same department, graduated from Shiga University of Medical Science.
YAHATA Aki is a contemporary artist who creates cross-disciplinary art works based on field research and interviews. Her main media are video + installation. As part of her pursuit of the concept of ‘(geographical/social/physical/mental) frontiers’, she has recently focused on ‘eating-with-hands’ and ‘road movies’. She also explores diverse developments in video, such as attempts to improvise road movies using VJ techniques. Since 2022, she has founded, presided over and edited the website ‘TESHOKU’ web, an online archive of eating-with-hands cultures around the world.
She speculates and explores ways to extend the life force of human beings through art.

Born in Miyagi in 1990. Completed her master’s degree in oil painting, Tohoku University of Art & Design in 2015. With her interests in food culture and uses of plants, ASANO Yuriko visits various places in Japan and overseas and paints as if recording episodes with the people she encounters.
Major solo exhibitions include ‘Tane no Onshou’ (SNOW Contemporary, 2023) and ‘Tsuzuri Shikou’ (KazenoSawa Museum, 2023), and group exhibitions include ‘Agriculture in Art’ (The Museum of Modern Art, Ibaraki, 2023), ‘Michino Okuno Art Festival: Yamagata Biennale 2022’ (2022), ‘AOMORI EARTH2019: AGROTOPIA –WHEN LIFE BECOMES ART THROUGH LOCAL AGRICULTURE’ (Aomori Museum of Art, 2019), etc. ‘VOCA Exhibition 2020’ Ohara Museum of Art Prize.

Born in Hong Kong, 1975. Maggie CHU graduated BArch at University of New South Wales and practiced as Architect in Hong Kong before she completed BA Fine Arts at RMIT / School of Art in 2021.
Her art practice explores the multifaceted aspects of place identities with combination of various methods including drawing, collage, and sculptures. Her source materials range from found images, texts and collected artefacts. Her artworks intermingle imagination and facts represented in the form of archive. She explores the perception of scale, from the macro lens of the cityscape to the profound personal experiences, excavating narratives of history lying within and between places.

Born in 1971, Béatrice DIDIER studied at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles (Royal Theatre School of Brussels), teaching and working on several projects in performing arts. The encounter with Monica KLINGLER and then Boris NIESLONY in 2005 brought Béatrice Didier to Performance Art, which then became her principal medium of artistic creation. By practicing in solo or in group, Didier has performed in galleries/museums or in the context of platforms, festivals, residencies throughout Europe as well as in Mexico, China, India, Japan, Myanmar,… Since 2014, Béatrice Didier has exhibited her work in Performance Art at Atelier Salzamt in Linz, 10/12 in Brussels, Kunstpavillon in Burgbrohl or in the context of UPON festival in Chengdu. These projects brought her to create installations directly connected with her actions/ performances. Béatrice Didier is also member of Ricochets in Belgium and was the curator / co-organiser of the platform ACTUS.
