A part of the installation, constructed based on photographs of living spaces of people living in a metropolitan area, will be presented off-site.

This event offers an opportunity to experience the culture and narratives of Thailand’s Isan region, which lies at the roots of Atittayaporn’s artistic practice.

〇TANJI Rie Workshop “Seeking the record of memory, tracing the memory of record”

Participants bring photos capturing their everyday life, stroll through the city of Aomori while talking and sharing their own memories and stories.
As they look for everyday objects appearing in the photos, the workshop invites them to see the city from a new perspective.

〇Adi SUNDORO Workshop “Print & FryーKitchen Lithography and Gorengan Workshop”

Reservation required (up to 6 participants) / Free Admission
This workshop invites participants to create their own wrapper using kitchen lithography, a printmaking technique that uses materials commonly found at home, and to hand-make “gorengan,” a traditional Indonesian fried snack.

〇Live Performance by Atittayaporn SAENPO

In this intimate performance, Saenpo guides the audience into the world of the ‘Hanging Grasshopper,’ weaving together the stories of migrant workers from the Isan region.

〇MAETANI Kai Performance “Walk, Sleep”

Drawing inspiration from his walk around the Tsugaru Peninsula, Maetani will present a performance that weaves together photography and his residency experience, moving through the space.

Water brought from various places in Orkney and Aomori will be poured into the pond at ACAC. Where does the water around us come from, and where does it return to? This will be a moment to reflect on such things with the artist, in the afterglow of the exhibition.
