Jörg Obergfell is producing objects using his grandfather’s way. The working method of his grandfather can be described as skilled Bricolage. He said that his grandfather was gifted in working out small details and reusing leftovers in an astonishing way.

Jörg Obergfell’s objects reproduce this style and amend it in a way that includes some discrepancies and questions. For example a tension between vernacular techniques and contemporary architecture or the presentation of folksy subjects and objects in the environment of the white cube can be seen through the comparison of both objects.
