We had 2nd emerging artist’s talk by ENDO Kaori (contemporary/Japanese handicrafts artist based in Hanoi, Vietnam) who visited to Aomori for researching and shooting her new work.

She went to the Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts and majored Japanese crafts especially traditional dying, however, now she is active in the contemporary art world as a result that she gave a lot of thought to handicrafts during an university student. Therefore she introduced her works from that time to upcoming creation. In the end of this event, she served silkworm tea to the participants as she usually conduct her organized workshops.

Kaori will open a solo show, “13th shiseido art egg, ENDO Kaori exhibition” from Friday, August 30th till Sunday, September 22nd. The exhibition will be held in Shiseido Gallery, Ginza, Tokyo. Really looking forward to seeing the exhibition!
