The exhibition “trans×form” started! The weather had been changing a lot in the same day, sunny, cloudy, rainy and sunny again. The artists are showing their new pieces have been producing in ACAC. The work will be upgraded after couple of weeks. Please come and see the exhibition as many times as possible.
All the participating artists had explained about their works and production process in front of their own works.

Iwasaki Takahiro. He had completed main shrine and　front shrine. And trying to finish　other buildings and galleria.

Out of Disorder is made by the sheet what he had used for sleeping.

Worapong Manupipatpong. He has produced his works as the responding to ACAC’s environment. He installed his works not only in the gallery but at the outside.

He also scattered 10 small pieces around ACAC.

Manisha Parekh exhibits set of 50 pieces of drawings Nesting, 100 wood piece installation Shadow Garden and unit of the 5 drawings Gratitude.

Yagi Lyota. Timer is the work listening the sound of sand clock. Using“ focus” as a keyword, the ACAC presents works which appeal directly to the physical senses, not only to sight but also to hearing and touch.

Ton is constructing the work like pay equipment. It’s also the place to see the landscape.

IWASAKI Takahiro brought his “Reflection Model” to the gallery.

A girl character Fuchiko-san, invented by Katsuki Tanaka、 was seeing Iwasaki’s production.

Manisha PAREKH finished drawing pieces unit work and then install her 100 wood pieces work.

Iwasaki Takahiro has been in Taiwan from July 17 to July 20 to install his work for an art project. Yagi lyota is in kyoto until July 21 for the lecture in the university. So now only foreign artists are working in ACAC. Ton’s partner Ada had arrived at Aomori from Bangkok 3 days ago. She is assisting Ton’s production.


The person in the middle is Ada.

Manisha is making the set of 5 piece drwaings by making holes. Also she makes the installation with the motif of Fuki leaf what she found around ACAC.

Iwasaki’s wife Shiho and students keep working for Iwasaki’s piece Reflection Model even his absent days. It’s the good team.

The member of Art Club at Aomori Public University is growing the vegetable at the same place as “Field of Music” by NOMURA Makoto last AIR/Summer.

The vegetables are now time to harvest, so they have harvest party with the artists at residence hall.

Manisha, Ton, Shiho(Iwasaki’s wife) also cooked, and there was full of foods.

Iwasaki has taken his wife to Aomori as the special assistant. They have been working so hard from morning to late at night everyday. ACAC’s volunteer members are also help Iwasaki’s production.

The volunteers asked to make the parts of model very precisely. But everybody made it very well.

This is Ms. Manisha Parekh. The silence and the rich nature of Aomori are very fascinating for her, because she is based in the big and clowded city New Delhi. She is producing new work using the materials what she has found around ACAC.

The motif is the japanese leaf “FUKI.”
